Cara Mahoney

Cara is a London-based actor. Her recent credits include ‘Playing Nice’, a co-production with Studio Canal and Rabbit Track Pictures and starring James Norton and James McArdle.

Credits include: ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ (Warner Bros.), ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ (European Arts Company) and ‘Shudder’ (Soho Theatre).

Cara is also a writer and producer with her own production company, Yonic Productions, whose work explores themes of identity, gender and sexuality. Her award-winning short films ‘Fish’ and ‘Mole’, both of which she also acts in, are currently on the festival circuit. ‘Fish’ premiered at BFI Flare in March 2025 has since screened at sixteen other festivals worldwide.

Cara’s short, ‘Full Fat’, for which she has won several writing awards, is just beginning its festival journey. Louisa Connolly-Burnham, award-winning director whose short film, ‘Sister Wives’, was long-listed for the 2025 Oscars and BAFTAs, directs.
